Taytay Bay, Palawan Philippines
The small town of Taytay is on the northeastern coast of Palawan. Taytay Bay shelters many islets, some of which are composed of high limestone cliffs like El Nido, but they are less spectacular. Nevertheless, it is a beautiful region, untamed to this day and worth being discovered. Taytay was the Spanish capital of Palawan until the 18th century. It has kept the ruins of a 300-year-old church and Fort Puerto de San Isabelle, dating back to 1622. There are only two resorts in Taytay Bay: the luxurious Club Noah Isabelle Palawan Resort on Apulit Island, frequented by Japanese and Koreans, and the small and charming Flower Island Palawan Resort. The two resorts are an hour away from each other.
LAKE DANAO Lake Danao is only 30 minutes from Taytay. It is surrounded by a lush forest strewn with islets. It can be visited more easily from Club Noah Isabelle than from Flower Island. You can walk in the forest and go bird-watching, or go kayaking in the lake.
APULIT ISLAND
The luxurious Club Noah Isabelle is on Apulit Island. Its cove has a magnificent coral reef with quite a variety of fishes. The seeming fireworks display of colored fishes is a feast for the eyes. Some fishes like jacks and napoleons are of considerable size and can be observed by merely snorkeling. There are several caves on the opposite side of the resort, notably the Saint Joseph Cave
SILANGA ISLAND (25 minutes form Club Noah) This is the island where you are likely to be brought for a picnic and barbeque if you stay in the Club Noah Resort in Palawan. It is a small spot for snorkeling.

ELEPHANT AND CASTLE ISLANDS (45 minutes form Club Noah and 1 hour 30 minutes from Flower Island) These islands are protected as a nesting site for swallows. Visiting these islands is impossible during the nesting period or when the winds are strong. Hidden in the cliffs' hollows is a natural pool with clear waters ideal for swimming.
QUIMBALUDAN ISLAND (30 minutes form Club Noah) It has pretty, white sandbar shaped like a semi-circle. The coral reef is beautiful, especially at the drop-off.
DINOT ROCKS (30 minutes form Club Noah) This is a marine reserve which has a vast coral reef known for snorkeling and night diving. With luck, you can even see sea turtles..
